Louis Vuitton

“A woman is like a tea bag, you can not tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water”
-Nancy Reagan-

Disclaimer: Controversial post ahead. Do not read if you are a cheapo or easily offended. You were warned.

One of my Facebook friends was tagged in an album, supposedly advertising fake Louis Vuitton bags for sale.

The seller claimed the fake LV's to be "grade AAA" and to be 90% similar to the real thing.

For those of you who don't know what "grade AAA" means, its actually a term black market sellers use to describe the quality of their "designer" products.

Let me explain.

As it turns out, the original LV's are too expensive to buy, so people start duplicating fake replicas. The quality of these fake designer bags vary, and hence, the grades. Grade AAA is the best (and most similar to the real thing), followed by grade A, etc. I have no idea how many grades are out there, coz as far as I am concerned, THEY. ARE. ALL. FAKE. PERIOD.

Note that these Grade AAA *FAKE* LV's don't come cheap either. Say, the original LV cost $5000, the Grade AAA replica might cost you $500. omgwtf

If you asked me, $500 is a whole damn lot of money. Good money, which, IMO, ARE NOT WORTH SPENDING ON FAKE DESIGNER BAGS.

God, if you were ever one of those people who buy fake LV's, I despise you.

Let me get this straight.

I don't despise people coz they're not financially capable to own genuine Louis Vuitton bags (heck, I don't have that kind of money myself), I despise people who are not financially capable of owning genuine LV bags but  PRETEND THAT THEY ARE.

Like, hello, if you can't afford a Louis Vuitton, DON'T PRETEND THAT YOU CAN.

Buying a fake replica of LV? That's just low. I don't care if it's Grade F or Grade A or Grade AAA, to me, its still the one thing:

ITS. A. FAKE.

Obviously a fake. DUH.

As I said, Grade AAA LV's don't come cheap either. Instead of using that large amount of money buying A FAKE DESIGNER BAG, why not use that same amount of money to buy yourself a GENUINE BUT CHEAPER DESIGNER BAG?

Fine, so you can't afford that $5000 LV. Neither can I. That doesn't mean you can spend $500 to buy a Grade AAA fake replica LV. If you asked me, I wouldn't take the bag (urrgh. fake stuff.) even if you gave it to me for free.

Why not put that $500 to better use, for e.g., buy a CHEAPER BUT GENUINE designer bag, like Herve Chapelier or Longchamp or Kipling? These lower-end BUT STILL DESIGNER (i.e., branded) BAGS cost the same as a Grade AAA *FAKE* (have to emphasize more on the word fake) LV, but have one huge advantage: At least they're  GENUINE.

Isn't that so much more worth than wasting that kind of money on something fake?

And, if you argue that you've got no money to buy those cheaper but still genuine designer bags, then where the heck would you get the money to buy a Grade AAA *fake* LV?

And, to you who argue "Hey, I have no money at all okay??? My fake LV only cost me $50, and it's like damn fake, not even Grade AAA okay? Is being poor a crime?"

My answer to that is no, being poor is not a crime but owning fake designer bags is A HUGE FASHION CRIME, regardless of your financial status.

Unless, of course, under certain circumstances like:

1. Your sister were getting married and she said "Only ladies using Louis Vuittons are allowed at my wedding."

or,

2. The country ruled a law saying "all citizens must own a Louis Vuitton or will be beheaded."

or,

3. Your best friend is dying and her dying wish is for you to carry a Louis Vuitton.

and since the bride is always right and the country is law and its your friend's final breath, and you had absolutely no money to buy a genuine LV, then only would you be allowed to get a fake LV.

Back to point. If you were really that financially incapable, then instead of using that $50 to buy an extremely fake (not that there are degrees of fake-ness in a bag - lol) LV, why not use that $50 to buy something simpler, like a vintage bag or other common ones like Juicy or Roxy or even Zinc?

Or, if you can go to Bugis and get those non-designer-but-also-non-replicas-of-LV's bags for only $20 or something.

The way I see it, somebody using a $20 vintage bag is waaaaay more respectable than one who uses a $500 Grade AAA FAKE Louis Vuitton.

I'm off to get a Longchamp for myself.

Toodles.

P.S.: Do not shoot me with stuff like "people want to buy fake bags also cannot arr? Why you want to criticize so much?" Coz I would just retaliate with "This is my blog and I want to say bad things about cheapos because they are a cheapo cannot arr?"

Like pasta.

UPDATE - So after receiving this one comment from Anonymous (as you may read from the comments of this blog post), I have hence replied (yes, to my defense) as appropriately as I could.

However, as I figured some may find this blog entry offense, I have found it obigatory that I explain myself further. Yes, I do find some bloggers annoying (reasons stated very clearly in blog post below), but that does NOT mean I hate bimbo bloggers in general.

I have many friends who may portray an bimbotic image when blogging, but there are times when they do make a point, and times when they do voice out their thoughts, rather than merely uploading slutty/bimbotic/cute/homicidal pictures of themselves in sexy/new/cute outfits/bags/shoes/accessories while clubbing/shopping/eating.

Those whom I hate are those who cannot think for themselves nor have anything in their lives to be proud of, hence resorting to cheap superficial stuff, and are oh-so-apparently proud of their meaningless merry-making, guys, clubbing, shopping, eating, and drinking, and that is all there is to them miserable sods.

As for my friends reading this, if you think you really know me, no, you are not one of them. Never in my life have I ever degraded myself to making acquaintances with those incapable of being able to think for themselves or acting in a childish manner of merry-making, not knowing that those "adult-like" things that they do does not only NOT portray their image of being a real grown up, but in fact accentuates the fact that they are, indeed, living empty lives.

No, I'm not saying that thou shalt not club, shop, eat, have sex, date, have fun, or get drunk. I'm just saying that I think that it is miserable that some people do all those things as though they're the only things that matter most in their lives.

Hence, if you think you know me, if you think our relationship were that of friendship, then worry not; you are not in the category of people stated in said group of "shallow, bimbotic bloggers". In short, to all my friends reading this, no, I am not talking about you. (I found it necessary to state this, coz I don't think I need any more of my friends turning into enemies.)

Last but not least, NO, I DO NOT ADMIRE ANY BLOGGER; XIAXUE INCLUDED. If there was any blogger I'd admire, that'd be me.

*thanksforyourtimehopethisclarifiesthingsgoodbye*

at first, it was like "one extra pink outfit wont hurt nobody" and just about 3 years later my entire wardrobe turns Barbie. @.@
-Rae on FB-

So.

Haven't been blogging lately - reason be, as usual, coz I have absolutely nothing to blog about.

Unless you wanna hear all about how stressful, lame, awful, and boring my internship is.

Granted, it's not all that bad, but still.

"Complaining is good. It means your life is interesting."

"Rather than complaining about something, I'd rather marvel at something; life can also be as interesting."

"Yes, but as life has it, there are more stuff to complain than to marvel about, so to avoid disappointment, let's just all keep our hopes down and stick to complaining."

-Rae & Friend on IM-

I have absolutely nothing to say. Nothing to muse about, nothing to ponder, no nothing.

Actually, I do.

You know some shallow bloggers who only blog about their shopping, frivolous merry-making, yummeh food, night out clubbing, etc etc with lotsa lotsa pics of themselves posing prettily in their cute dresses and heels and bags?

Yes, I know.

Mighty shallow, aren't they?

I'm not saying that one should stop blogging about shallow stuff in it's entirety, I mean, I do blog about shallow stuff too, but I don't do it in EVERY SINGLE BLOG POST LIKE SOME PEOPLE DO.

I mean, is that all you have to your life?

Gosh, I feel sad for you.

I mean, can't you even use a little more of your brains to make better use of the blogging opportunity provided and blog about something a lil more... uh...

Substantial?

If even bimbotic Xiaxue can do it, (y'know, she sometimes talks 'bout controversial - and other misc - stuff like, uh, SPG's, cab drivers, school, sex, whateveryounameit) why can't you?

I know I've done this before - "this" referring to, criticizing shallow bloggers - but it has recently gotten on my nerves how some girls blog about their shallow lives and are actually proud of it.

Seriously? You don't have decent job, you don't have own stand of reasonings about anything at all, you let fashion, food, and booze rule your life - heck, become your life - and yet you're *sputters* proud of it?

@.@

Guess they can't be blamed; they're probably too shallow/stupid to find the words to express themselves, hence replacing those substantial thoughts/reasonings instead with shallow pictures, which, surprisingly, more often than not, do attract readers coming back each time for more.

*Oh, please kill me if I become one of them one day*

Speaking of shallow, now that I've done my part of being substantial, here's what I bought today:

Cute, ain't it? I bought the - you guessed it - pink one.

Not the bread, silly, was talking about the non-stick 8" square frying pan.

I know I haven't been uploading pics from my own cam - always ripping pictures off the Internet - but that's coz M1's broadband mobile is so damn slow that it takes literally for-freaking-ever (yes, literally - I left it overnight and it still wasn't done the next morning =.=) to upload to Blogger.

Why the heck did I buy it, you may ask.

No, I did not buy it on impulse just because it looked cute (Though I have to admit, I was running around all over Singapore searching for a Hello Kitty pink frying pan and wouldn't settle for the conventional silver ones sold at NTUC/Fairprice).

So. I bought it coz;

Ever since I moved out of hostel (and into the oh-so-brutal world of the rat race *okjustkiddingitsnotthatbad*), I have taught myself how to cook.

Yes, you heard me right. Cook.

Not just lame stuff like instant noodles - that doesn't count as cooking - but real, substantial food.

 Like pasta.

(I've GOT to stop saying the word substantial)

And mind you, when I say "I cooked", it doesn't mean somebody else did the dirty work and I just "helped" out on the easy parts; when I say "I cooked", it means literally what it says - I. Cooked.

As in, I. Cooked. All. By. My. Self.

Kevin says my cooking skills are improving, and my food is getting tastier each time.

CA,CA,CA

"He ate my arm, you selfish prick!"
- Assistant-who-just-got-her-arm-eaten to mad-doctor-scientist, Insanitarium -

No, it isn't pronounced as 'cha-cha-cha'; FREAKING CONTINUAL ASSESSMENTS ARE HERE AGAIN.

So the first just passed today; there's another one coming tomorrow.

Like seriously. Two CA's in a row? I'd be better off dead.

It doesn't help when I just spent an hour and a half watching Insanitarium, a crazy movie where crazy people (literally) are being turned into blood-sucking man-eating creatures. No, they're not zombies; zombies have no intelligence, much unlike these crazy people who, other than their obsessive crave for human flesh and blood, can still think (not very rationally, of course; they were already mentally ill to begin with anyway) and talk. Much like you and me can.

So as guilty as I felt after the movie (hence, not studying for my CA tomorrow), I decided to try to cover back lost time by skipping my bath, skipping my afternoon nap, and by eating dinner real fast.

At least I did Tutorial 5 of Thermodynamics, which makes me feel less guilty by now, and hence, the mood to blog.

Of course, I was also very much aware that my blog has not been updated for a very long time; blame the busy schedule. Though by my current tone, you could say that my stress level might have been reduced significantly, possibly due to the fact that NEXT WEEK IS RECESS WEEK!!!

happy happy joy joy happy happy joy

So I've noticed that I've long gone against my blogger's principle of:

NO UPLOADING OF PICTURES; THIS BLOG IS STRICTLY FOR WORDS OF THOUGHTS ONLY; ONLY BIMBOTIC AND STUPID GIRLS AND PEOPLE HAVING A POOR COMMAND OF ENGLISH POST PICTURES IN THEIR BLOGS...

but oh well.

I think it's becoming a bad habit.

Of course, I shall still value words more than pictures; I will not stoop to as low as some people who update their blogs with meaningless blog entries (with subtle indications of zero intelligence) containing meaningless pictures only: e.g., "I went shopping at Orchard Road today!" and then proceeding is a parade of camwhoring bimbotic girls smiling stupidly back at me as I scroll down, frantically searching for any sign of concrete statements (or words), in vain.

Or, or, or, "My darling and I went for dinner today", and then there's a hoarde of lovey dovey (but frighteningly identical) pictures of said blogger and boyfriend.

Like for goodness' sake I DO NOT WANT TO SEE IDENTICAL PICTURES OF YOU WHEN THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS YOUR OUTFIT - CUT THAT, I DON'T GIVE A DAMN WHAT OUTFIT YOU WEAR UNLESS ITS SOMETHING YOU PARTICULARLY WANT TO PLACE EMPHASISE ON OR SHOW OFF - AND WHERE YOU WENT SHOPPING TODAY.

Is there anything else left in your life besides your typical mundane... uh... life???

If I were to snap pictures every single time I went out shopping or to blog about EVERY SINGLE TIME I went out...

oh gosh, i can't even imagine what would happen; i would never stoop that low.

Bimbos, this is homicide.

Nuff' said - here are a few random pics:

Over the last weekend, Kevin and I went grocery shopping and stocked up his otherwise empty fridge:

Here are the mooncakes we bought (durian and passion fruit flavored):

I mean, isn't it amazing what kind of flavors people come up with these days? 10 years ago, it was just lotus paste and red bean paste, and then they evolved to flavors like green tea - and now passion fruit???? I wouldn't be surprised if they sold wasabi mooncakes next.

2 hours later...

2 days later...

Here's him in the study room, de-stressing after studying Chapter 5 of Thermodynamics.
I'm currently addicted to EPIC PET WARS!!! It's actually an online game where you keep a pet and train it to fight against other pets. (APP AVAILABLE ON IPODS AND IPHONES!) Here's my pet; it's called a Squishum:

Last but not least, here's something to lighten up your day.

MSN spam

"I hate MSN spam messages, but I hate the sender more."
-Rachel-

It's funny how I only ever receive phishing spam messages on MSN from three kinds of people:

1. Kids.
You know, those annoying 13-year-olds who think they're oh-so-grown-up and keep trying to talk to you about crap and expects you to amuse them by lowering your intellectual capacity to their level. I usually don't talk to them but if I do, be reminded that it would probably be them who started the conversation first, and I merely replied because I wanted to relieve myself of stress.

They amuse me how they try to act oh-so-grown-up but can't even keep their MSN accounts safe from spam. Probably 'cause their 'innocence' and 'curiosity' prompts them to click on every single link they see.

2. Uneducated people
No, I'm not referring to ALL uneducated people who didn't receive a good education because they were not fortunate enough. I'm referring to those that dropped out of school because they were too dumb to see the importance of education, hence, decided not to study hard when they had the chance to. They're also those who are never in the know and whenever you talk to them about anything at all they'll go "Huh??"

Which probably goes to show the reason why they don't even realize that you SHOULD NEVER simply give your MSN account and password to fake MSN login websites. For obvious reasons.

See, I told you they're dumb.

Here's an example of a fake MSN login website. I trust that my readers are not dumb enough to actually give their MSN e-mails and passwords. If you do, screw you, idiot.

3. People I utterly disrespect.
You'll know them when you see them. They usually smoke, gamble, insert swear words in every other word they say, get into fights, join gangs, sport tattoos, spend more time at the internet cafe than they do at home, and probably do not have a purpose in life. 50% of them didn't make it to high school graduation. Those who did probably scraped through.

Unbeknowst to them (or maybe they are aware of it but they just don't give a damn), their porn website preferences are being made known to every single person on their MSN lists. Yes, you guessed it. Through MSN spam messages.

Usually, after about a week of putting up with this kind of nonsense 20 times a day, I proceed to block them because really, I don't see the point of talking to people who are of low intellectual capacities.

You can now proceed to hate me for discriminating.

But really, didn't these people once had a chance to make the right choices in life?

Academic stress

I'm so fucking pissed off.

It frustrates me all the more that I don't know who to be pissed off at.

My parents? Tutors and lecturers? My god-awful inhumanely intelligent course mates? The entire university in general? Mother Nature? God Himself?

My parents expect me to do well academically. Tutors and lecturers feed me with infinite horrible math equations and weird theories, and lots of tutorials. My horribly intelligent course mates are pulling up the grades. Mother Nature expects me to spend 8 precious hours sleeping when those hours can be put to better use like studying. God isn't giving me enough time. Only 24 hours a day?? Who is He kidding???

Tutorials and past year exam papers to be done. Lecture notes to be studied.

I'm so left behind. I've got Physics, Computing, Chemistry, and Business Law tutorials to be done. It's 2 a.m., and I'm fucking sleepy but I can't fall asleep coz every time my head hits the pillow, my conscience condemns me for wasting my time sleeping (my goodness, can you think of any other activity even more time-consuming???) instead of studying.

I AM FUCKING PISSED OFF.

I WISHED I COULD JUST IGNORE MY ACADEMIC RESULTS BUT I CAN'T.

APPARENTLY, MY EXAM RESULTS ARE TOO GODDAMN IMPORTANT AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY.

To all of you Malaysian university students out there, you should feel oh-so-lucky you're studying in local uni and not in Singapore.

Note that I was being sarcastic.

What I really meant was, we students in NTU are more privileged than you guys back in Malaysia coz we learn more, undergo more stress, and hence are moulded into better students.

Note that USM students get their first class honours by not studying, but NTU students get their third-class honours by studying their asses off. Probably due to Malaysian universities having low standards and low entry requirements. Heck, even a lousy pass in STPM (A-Levels equivalent) allows you to study in Malaysian universities; probably to give students who are not doing too well academically the opportunity to get a university education. They don't see that the plan has actually backfired; nobody has a high opinion of Malaysian universties anymore. That's probably why Malaysians students get dumber each year.

Malaysian government has got to accept the fact that not all students are smart, and you can't please everyone by granting each and everyone of them a university education, especially when they're just not up for it.

I wouldn't find it surprising that Malaysia is now facing a huge brain drain problem.

I mean, who on earth would want to study in a Malaysian university if you were given the opportunity to study in Singapore?

I don't even care if I have offended anyone of you. I just want you guys to know that NTU is not an easy place to be in, and only the best can stay alive.

A few days later, I'm gonna regret I said those mean things.

But as for now, Fuck. It.

Gawd, I hate myself so much I wished I could just kill myself off but I can't coz I don't have the courage to, which in turn makes me hate myself even more.

Fuck studies.

I wished I were dead.

Sunday, 1 June 2008

I dictate others' future.

I fucking, fucking, fucking hate people who are biased.

And also those who judge a book by its cover.

People, just because I act childish and immature, doesn't mean I am.

And though I may act slutty, I assure you, I'm as chaste as a puritan.

I know what's good for myself, and I am pretty sure I am able to carry myself pretty well.

Of course, there's the occasional (well, maybe not-so-occasional) undisciplined me, but that's just because I'm not fucking working. And I'm currently not studying yet. If you haven't noticed, I'm FREE.

Free as in, I am utterly deprived of any responsibilities whatsoever.

Of course I can afford to be undisciplined.

Once I begin my studies in university, of course I'll buck up.

Who was the one who scored straight A's in her PMR? 10A's in her SPM? Who was one of the top scorers in her college for her A-Levels examinations with 3A's and a B?

Me.

Me.

Me.

As you can see, I know what's good for myself.

I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I don't go clubbing. I don't sneak home at 3 in the morning.

But some people still think I'm not good enough. For their sons, apparently.

And I also pity those who allow my presence to influence their important life-changing decisions.

Like not sending their child to the top rated universities in the world, just because I'm going there.

Is that plain stupidity, or what?

Gosh, people actually ruin their kid's education and future just because of me.

Who am I?

Just a girl.

Who, apparently, happens to have the ability to control others' kids' futures.

Cool.

My ex-best friend.

The following involves partial private details and personal relationships. Some parts are either edited or omitted to protect the privacy of the said people in this post. However, for the reading pleasure of my beloved readers, I'll try to put in as much information and to be as honest as possible.

About 2 years ago, I met this guy, Su*. We sort of knew about each other's existence, but it wasn't until a year later that we became friends. Eventually, we got so close to the point that in my social circle, I put him on par with my best girl friends whom I stuck with, through thick and thin.

We were happy together and I must say, despite our differences (having the habit of unjustly discriminating people and being over-judgemental, I had to put in extra effort - mind you, it could be hard at times - in over looking his, uh, differences, as one would call it), I enjoyed his company. We helped each other out, frequented each others' homes, went to the movies, and hung out together. We even shared special language codes one leh!!!! I always thought that he'd share the mutual cherishing of the friendship.

How awfully wrong I realised I have been.

A few months back, he continued his tertiary education. In another place.

Out of sight, out of mind.

No calls, no text messages, no e-mails, no nothing.

To date, we have only communicated only twice through MSN.

And on both occasions, I messaged him first.

The first one went something like this (from what I can remember):

Me: Hi!!! How's uni life? Long time no see. Did you miss me?

After about half an eternity...

Him: Hello.
Me: How are you? Missing us back in Penang?
Him: Fine. But it's too early to be missing home yet.
Me: So you'll miss me in the months to come?

I forgot what he replied, but I don't remember him saying yes.

After that, I tried talking to him a little more, but he didn't seem interested.

Irritated.

Don't you find it annoying when you try to strike up a conversation with people online, only to find them replying every ten minutes or so, with only two-syllable grunts at most?

An example:

Me: *chatter, chatter, chatter*
Other person: Uhuh.
Me: *chatter, chatter, chatter*
Other person: Yes.
Me: *chatter, chatter, chatter*
Other person: Ah...

At this point, I normally get the hint and stop the conversation altogether.

And so, I discontinued the conversation.

Correction. I was on the verge of discontinuing the conversation. But Su took the lead. He stopped replying my messages first, before I did.

Hey, wasn't that supposed to be my move?

Double irritated.

Okay lar, maybe he was busy or something, but still. Couldn't he at least seem more enthusiastic when talking to me? I'm his friend leh!

Apparently, he had forgotten that for the past one year, we had been spending a huge portion of our time together.

And ever since that interaction (that wasn't considered a proper conversation), I didn't hear from him anymore.

A few weeks ago, I sent him a text message. He never did reply.

When asked his sister the reason, she told me that according to him, "Somethings' wrong with my cell phone. Can't reply text messages to some people."

Some people.

More like "a certain un-randomly chosen person" to me.

Talked to Mil* (a mutual friend of Su's and mine) the other day. He also complained about how Su hasn't contacted him ever since he left for university, despite the fact that they were best friends ever since they were in primary school.

A few days back, I sent Su another message in MSN.

Some of the words were in our code language, but I've translated them into comprehensive words for your reading pleasure:

Me: Hello!

After one-and-a-half-eternities...

Him: Hello.
Me: How long have you not been contacting me? Lousy friend.

Yes, I was reprimanding him. I wasn't going to be patient with him anymore, drowning myself in the delusion that one day he'd magically remember that we'd once been friends.

Him: What!
Me: Hmph.
Him: I've returned your book. Sorry for the wait.

I borrowed him my favourite books during our 'friendship days' and I almost forgot to claim them back. I'm supposed to get them back from his sister. Of whom, I've also built very slight resentment towards. For a reason. If you want to know, ask me personally.

Me: Useless, lousy friend. Where did you disappear to for the past two months?
Him: Uni?

I fucking know you're at your fucking uni. I didn't mean that question literally, and you know it.

Me: Go uni, forget old friends liao la!
Him: You're a teacher now, right? How's teaching? Did your students bully you?
Me: Wait, wait. I'll answer your questions later. I want to give you a big piece of my mind first.
Him: How big?

Dumbass, still pretending to be oblivious about my annoyance towards his attitude.

Me: You ar!!! Go uni then stop contacting people liao. Even Mil complained!
Him: What...
Me: Out of sight, out of mind, is that it?
Him: So what... ;) (yes, he really did give me that smiling emoticon). Told you I'm not sentimental.

Oh, so now you're blaming it on your natural, in-born unsentimentalness.

Me:
Give me a good reason for your prolonged absence.
Him: Absence from what?

You know very well where your absence is. Stop acting dumb. Oh, wait. Maybe you really are, when it comes to relationships.

Me: You know what I mean.
Him: Why would I need to give you a reason? I'm not your student.

For fuck's sake, you'd give me a reason if you still took me as your friend.

Me: Hmph. So do you still remember my name, then?
Him: Uh, Who are you?

Countering sarcasm with more sarcasm.

Me: See! Go uni forget my name liao. Do you still remember who is Mil, then?
Him: But of course.
Me: Why do you still remember Mil but not me?
Him: Who are you?
Me: I'm the pretty one.
Him: How can I forget when I don't know who you are?
Me: That's pretty much the point of forgetting, isn't it? To not remember you knew that person and therefore you think that you never knew her.
Him: Es tut mir lied, ich weiss nicht was sie versprechen.

Stop it before I explode.

Me: Apparently, my comprehension has suddenly gone down a steep hill and disappeared.
Him: Sou desu ne.

I said, stop it before I explode.

Me: Or maybe its just that you're speaking in a language i don't understand. Which do you think is most likely? Me completely losing my ability to comprehend or you speaking in a foreign language ON PURPOSE to confuse me?

As you can see, I was still trying my very best to strike up a conversation with him.

Him: Whatever.

WTF??? I'll pretend you didn't say that.

Me: So how are you?

See, I'm still being nice to you despite the fact that I so feel like strangling you. You'd better appreciate it.

Him: Fine whatsoever. Bugs on the breeze, rain's on the by and by.

I'm not interested in knowing the condition of your living place or the weather there. You could live in a pig's sty for all I care. I want to know about YOU; not the environment around you.

Me: Skip the literal parts.

Maybe you could tell me more about your life in university. How you're coping with the new environment, new experiences, etc.

Him: Fine whatsoever. You?
Me: Same as usual.

Of course, not taking into account that I'm facing major stress at work, tackling new challenges, trying very hard not to fall in love, undergoing a wardrobe makeover, and beginning to put on make-up. But I guess you don't need to know about that, since you don't seem interested in talking to me anyway.

That pretty well concluded the end of our conversation.

And he still didn't give me a satisfactory answer as to why he stopped contacting me.

I sooooooo regret giving him that awfully, awfully cute Keroppi key chain souvenir from Japan, which cost me about 20 freaking bucks. I bet it's all black and dirty and forgotten and abandoned in a corner of his room, because his books are the ones that will determine his future, not some stupid, girlish key chain. And definitely not friendship.

I swear, I'm never talking to him ever again.

Don't blame me. I've already tried my very best to save the friendship.

Even when we were friends, he was selfish (that would be another story; ask me personally if you're interested), immature, and still depended quite heavily on his parents when it came to decision-making.

He was a mama's boy.

That's be perfectly fine with me, if only I didn't have so much resentment towards mama's boys, because they seem to include their mother into every single aspect of their life.

Also, lots of other stuff not appropriate being mentioned here. Again, ask me if you're interested in knowing.

I don't even fucking care if Su were to come across this. He probably won't anyway, because he's more into chim stuff.

My blog is too superficial for his high-standards.

Bored

I'm bored, and out of blogging ideas.

Everyone is busy. Jia Ling is at make-up class. Yi Hui is at German class. Yong Xing is playing Ghost Online at Silas's house. Yokey is out with her family. Marcus is out with his sister. I'm stuck at home.

I'M DESPERATE TO GO OUT!!!! SOMEBODY PLEASE SAVE ME FROM MY OWN HOME!!!!

One day, I'm going to die of boredom. And I thought studying for exams was bad enough.

I'm fat, broke, bored, and a living corpse.

At times like these, I tend to get a little philosophical, because there is nothing else to think about.

Why does the universe exist? Imagine if it didn't. Then there would be void and darkness. But what if that didn't exist either? What, then? What if existence itself didn't exist? Then nothing can ever come into being, nor can anything not come into being. If that is the case, then even space itself would not exist either.

There would be just...

nothing.

Not even emptiness.

Why does time exist? Why are there three dimensions? Can't there be four?

Physics tell us it's just logic, and there is no why. But just think. Why is it like this? If it could be so, couldn't it be something else as well?

Ouch. My head hurts.

I think holidays are cunningly introduced to force students into confusing themselves with stuff like these. And we students stupidly let ourselves fall into this devious trap, thinking, "Hooray! The holidays are finally here!!" To those of you who are still schooling, you are so lucky. You get to go to school and study and learn stuff. At least your boredom only lasts till end of this year. I, on the other hand will have to bear with it until goodness knows when. I heard that the Engineering courses at Nanyang University only begins in September 2008.

Sooner or later, I'm going to kill myself.

My PSP sits there, waiting for the chance to entertain me. The TV is in the living room, waiting to be switched on. The phone is ready for me to make calls. There are three unread books in my room, waiting to be explored.

Why is it that during exams, I am sooooo tempted to watch TV, phone my friends and entertain myself with the PSP, but after my exams are over, those devices lay untouched?
