Last night, I suddenly felt unwell.
Went to bed at 10 p.m..
TEN FREAKING P.M.!!!!
Nobody in their right minds sleeps that early!!!!!
A big achievement for me.
Unfortunately, at around 11 p.m., the air conditioning in my room went off. Something went wrong with the plug.
Partly my dad's fault, because the plug was already a little loose, and he touched it.
At the exact point of contact of the first atom of my dad's skin on the plug, the air conditioning went poof.
"AIYO!!"
And I woke up from my dad's gasp.
*sleepily annoyed* "What..."
"The air conditioning went off!!!"
Grr... If only you hadn't touched it...
He fumbled around a little more (which was also pretty annoying as I was trying my very best to sleep) and finally turned on the ceiling fan.
Hotness...
I began to sweat.
I kicked off the blanket.
My skin decided to secrete even more sweat.
STUPID AIR CONDITIONER!!!!!
As I was half asleep (and half sweating), my dad came in my room again. To fix the plug.
"Tsk!!!"
"Wait la!!! I fix the plug for you so that you can sleep with the air conditioner ma!!!"
Oh... Okay...
At that moment, the sleepiness began to wear away. Partly because I had been sleeping for two hours and because I wasn't used to going to bed early. Also because my dad was working noisily at the plug.
Apparently, my body decided that 10 p.m. was too early to be considered bed time, and it adjusted itself not to sleep mode, but nap mode.
Two hours of napping was, of course, enough to keep me going.
After about a considerable amount of eternities, the air conditioner finally worked again.
Whoo hoo!!! My dad's a professional electrician!!!!
YAY!!!! AIR CONDITIONING!!!!
Fell asleep again at about 12 a.m.. So much for going to bed at ten.
I slept soundly for the rest of the night.
When I woke up this morning, I was feeling so fresh.
Me: *strolling into the staff room while whistling a tune in my head* Good morning Pn. Peh!!! I don't feel sleepy at all!!
Pn. Peh: Wah!!!! First time in history!! What's your secret?
Me: I slept at ten last night!!! TEN YOU KNOW!!!! I holiao leh!!!
Pn. Peh: Whoa... Good that you've finally realised the secret to not feeling sleepy.
Me: *smiles widely* Yup!!!
...
Two hours later, I felt sleepy again.
Maybe it's just that I'm born to feel sleepy in the mornings. No matter what I do, I just can't seem to fight sleepiness the next day.
Despite that, today was still a Yay Day.
An unexpected one.
Gave the students a free period for P.E. today.
During both my Science classes...
"Teacher!!! Tomorrow is Canteen Day and we have a lot of preparations to make!! Please allow us to finish our work!!!"
So, I gave them free periods for that, too. Two periods for each class, four periods of free time in total.
Plus that one period of P.E. class, I gave the students five periods of free time in total.
I didn't do any teaching at all today.
Literally.
Whoopee!
Then, later in the afternoon, Kevin send me a text message.
It was kind of unexpected, because he's at National Service. They only get back their cell phones on weekends, so I was a little shocked when I received a message from him today.
A MESSAGE FROM KEVIN! YAY!!!
Also, after three days of constipation, I had diarrhoea today. Finally. A flat tummy.
Double yay!!
And then, tomorrow shall also be a very happy day for me because it's Canteen Day. which means I don't have to teach again.
As I've stated before, if there's something very pleasant happening the next day, the day before can also be called a Yay Day because it's on that day which the anticipation is the greatest.
With so many pleasant things happening today, I can't help but label today as yet another Yay Day.
***
I'm supposed to be setting exam papers for the upcoming Science exam, but I just can't help feeling awfully lazy.
Maybe I'll do it tomorrow.
Tonight shall be dedicated to talking to Kevin.
I'm in a very good mood.
Cheers!!!
